HotPort/HotPoint Wireless

What is the biggest problem facing wireless communications today? The wires!

Mesh networking allows the network to become unleashed from the constraints of wires and allows for the kind of freedom and flexibility enjoyed by the mobile public. Employing a mesh backbone allows for the same mission-critical resiliency and robustness found in the PSTN and public Internet.

To address this exciting new market, Coastcom offers the following Wi-Fi products:

The HotPort 6000 AutoMesh nodes enable multiple network services and standard Ethernet devices (such as digital video surveillance cameras, access points, or other network connected devices) to operate on the wireless backbone creating secure and reliable wireless networks for video, voice and data. Designed for maximum performance, scalability, and ease of use, the HotPort mesh network works seamlessly between indoor and outdoor environments and can operate in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spectrums. The HotPort 6000 also offers a public safety (PS) version operating at 4.9 GHz, allocated in the US for exclusive use by public safety agencies.

The HotPoint 4000 wireless access points deliver a modular access solution for large-scale, indoor and outdoor wire less mesh networks. Modular design enables full network and software integration of the access points with a HotPort wireless mesh network while at the same time permitting independent physical placement of the hard ware to provide optimal accessibility for Wi-Fi clients.

The R810 Wi-Fi Bridge/Access Point is the optimal outdoor point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless bridge, rapidly sending encrypted data up to 17 miles/28 Km. Used to connect separate buildings within a corporate campus, this product overcomes the geographical limitations of private networks and is the perfect “last-mile” solution. Without requiring additional network infrastructure and reoccurring internet connection fees, the R810 is truly cost-effective. The R810 is able to penetrate into previously inaccessible territories (due to overly low population density, lack of telecommunications infrastructure, or simply due to lack of economical returns) and connect them with the rest of the world. For greater convenience, the R810 has embedded the access point as well as the entire antenna into an independently operating outdoor unit. Designed to be completely waterproof and equipped with a built-in lightning protector, the product can operate normally under extreme weather conditions. The design greatly facilitates installation and lowers manpower costs. Remote registration and management of the unit is conducted through a user-friendly graphical interface.
