For more detailed information on the GigaEdge 2330,
please read the data sheet
The GigaEdge 2330 Mini Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) is designed for dynamic configuration flexibility. Client interfaces are not hard-wired and can be reconfigured as customer traffic requirements change. In addition, the "plug and play" design, small form factor, and low power consumption all contribute to lowered operational expenses:
Carrier Class Optical Platform
- 1+1 protection of aggregate interface
- Single chassis with SFPs
- Redundant in-band management at each node
- Ideally suited for applications in metro and access networks
Quick Install
- Setup and configuration of the GE2330 can be done in minutes
- No lengthy training required or complex configurations to perform
- Hot swappable SFPs supported in tributary & aggregate interfaces
- Point and Click configuration
Superior Uptime & Reliability
- Hardware and Software upgrades can be performed "In-Service"
- Software configurable (No dip switches or manual adjustments)
- Fully featured, easy to use remote diagnostics and fault isolation
- In-traffic performance monitoring
Cost Effective Scalable Bandwidth Growth
- Standards-based GFP & VCAT (Build 2) to maximize bandwidth efficiency
- Efficient multiplexing of Ethernet services, including oversubscription with flow control (GFP-F)
- Low latency transmission of SAN protocols (GFP-T)
- 32 services (TDM, IP, SAN) can be carried over a fiber pair in conjunction with GigaEdge 8200
- Four bidirectional channels on a fiber pair
Extremely Flexible & Modular Architecture
- 4xANY standards-based multiplexing of SAN, Ethernet and SONET/SDH
- Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) optics for trunks and tributary interfaces
- Low Spares holdings (only require chassis and SFPs)
- Single Chassis Solution (1 RU)
- Point to point configuration, or as a service aggregator into a SONET, SDH or WDM networks Enable an efficient migration to next-generation packet services
