Coastcom Announces Addition of Next Generation
SONET/SDH Add-Drop Multiplexer
ALAMEDA, Calif., -- May 23, 2005 –
Coastcom, a leading manufacturer of voice and data communications
equipment for public and private networks, announced today it
has expanded its product line to include the R100 RazorEdge ADM
(Add-Drop Multiplexer). The R100 was designed as a next-generation
SONET/SDH platform, providing a multi-service solution that integrates
Layer 2 Ethernet switching and SONET bandwidth management functions
to efficiently aggregate and deliver both TDM and IP services.
Full 1:1 equipment protection is available for all tributary ports
and system functions, as well as 1+1 APS and UPSR facility protection
for SONET network ports.

RazorEdge 100 Next Generation SONET/SDH ADM serves as an evolutionary
solution that integrates smoothly with the existing (TDM) Utility

The RazorEdge 100 is ideally suited for applications
in core and access networks, or as an end node in wireless sites,
substation locations, and Campus environments.
